Some analysts believe Nigeria’s APC ruling party candidate Bola Ahmed Tinubu will benefit the most from Obi taking votes from PDP strongholds

President Bola Tinubu celebrated the 74th birthday of Abdullahi Ganduje, national chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), on Monday.

Chief Ajuri Ngelale, special advisor to the president, shared on X a photo of the president and Ganduje shaking hands.

Tinubu described Ganduje as a "thorough-bred democrat who has devoted his life to the service of the people and Nigeria."

"I celebrate the national chairman of our great party as he turns 74 today. Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje is a consummate politician and accomplished public servant who rose from the bottom of both callings to the pinnacle," the president said in a statement.

He noted Ganduje has always been a "loyal friend and dependable ally."

"He gives his all to everything he believes in, with a keen focus on effective execution. His management of our party since becoming the National Chairman is a proven testimony of his capacity as a masterful politician," Tinubu said and wished Ganduje strength and good health.

Otunba Bimbo Ashiru, the chairman of Odu'a Investment Company, also celebrated his 60th birthday Monday.

Tinubu praised "Ashiru for his significant contributions to the private sector and public service, extolling him as a quintessential gentleman, a bridge builder, and an advocate of economic development," according to another statement shared by Ngelale on X.

The president recalled that when Ashiru served as the commissioner for commerce and industry in Ogun State from July 2011 to September 2018, he was made the "commissioner of the year" due to his tenacity, innovative thinking and relentless drive.

On the same day, Tinubu also wished Aisha Muhammed-Oyebode as she turned 60 years old. Muhammed-Oyebode is a lawyer, activist, philanthropist and entrepreneur. She is the daughter of General Murtala Muhammed.

"Recalling the shining leadership examples of the late General Murtala Muhammed, the president remarks that Dr. Aisha, the daughter of the great leader, has lived and upheld the fine values of her pedigree with her life's journey of passion, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to social justice," according to a statement issued on social media.

The president applauded Muhammed-Oyebode's notable contributions in the fields of law, humanitarian work, academia and public service.
