President Tinubu Committed To Ramp Up Nigeria’s Infrastructure: Vice President

Vice President Kashim Shettima on Tuesday reaffirmed Bola Tinubu's pledge to boost Nigeria's infrastructure, noting that the president was focused on addressing the fundamental needs and necessities of the country.

The vice president held an iftar gathering at his home in Maiduguri alongside members of the Borno Elders Forum, the All Progressives Congress (APC) and other stakeholders, where he discussed Tinubu's pledge.

During the event, he urged all Nigerians to keep backing the Tinubu administration, and also highlighted that the government's policies will bring significant benefits to everyone soon, as per the official statement.

The vice president mentioned that Tinubu was aware of the power supply problem in Maiduguri and certain areas of Borno State. Furthermore, the president has instructed immediate action to resolve the issue.

"We owe it to this president to be loyal and law-abiding citizens. He has a grasp of the situation, challenges and indeed, the prospects we have as a nation. A careful look at our nation's economy will show a gradual bouncing back on most frontiers," he said, Premium Times reported.

"This is a testament that, indeed, the investment of our votes and trust in this leader will pay off at the end of the road. So, let us continue to pray for him, commit ourselves to peace, unity and development of the Nigerian nation, and we shall be the winners for it."

During the gathering, Chairman of the Borno Elders Forum, Gambo Gubio, expressed gratitude to the vice president for the invitation and conveyed a strong belief in both the vice president and president's capabilities.

The group's secretary Bulama Gubio also attended the event and recognized the dedication of the Tinubu administration to Nigeria's progress, emphasizing the importance of all Nigerians supporting the president.

Among the guests at the event were Senator Kaka Shehu Lawan, who represents Borno Central and the Member representing Maiduguri Federal Constituency Abdulkadir Rahis. Also present were Ya Abba Kolo, Umar Kyari, and Ibrahim Umar along with numerous others.
