President Tinubu Appoints 7 Leaders To Key Humanitarian And Social Development Roles

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of seven qualified Nigerians to lead key agencies and programs under the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development.

These appointments were made Tuesday to provide relief to Nigerians and improve humanitarian and social development programs, as per the official State House website.

Badamasi Lawal, who previously served as a commissioner in Katsina State, was appointed as the CEO of the National Social Investment Program Agency (NSIPA).

Funmilola Olotu, who is the senior special assistant to the governor of Lagos on state lotteries, will serve as the program manager of the National Social Safety-Net Coordinating Office.

Aishat Alubankudi has been appointed as program manager of Grant for Vulnerable Groups.

Princess Aderemi Adebowale, who previously served as a local government chairperson, was Home Grown School Feeding program manager.

Abdullahi Alhassan Imam will serve as the program manager of the National Cash Transfer Office.

Ayuba Gufwan secured the Executive Secretary of the National Commission for People with Disabilities position

Lami Binta Adamu Bello, who previously served as the permanent secretary of the Federal Ministry of Health and Federal Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, was appointed director general of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons.

Tinubu mentioned that he expected the new leaders of these important agencies and programs to work with great integrity and care. He said she wanted to ensure that Nigerians, especially those who were vulnerable, directly benefit from his administration's updated welfare programs.
