Nigeria To Welcome Over 200 Chinese Exhibitors During 17th Edition Of Commodities Expo

The 17th edition of the China Commodities Expo (CCE) is all set to be held in Nigeria's Lagos from Nov. 7-10, where more than 200 Chinese manufacturers are expected to seek business opportunities.

The event is organized by Brightway International Exhibition Co. Ltd, Shandong, China, with the support of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Nigeria, the ministry of commerce - China, the government of Shandong Province, federal government of Nigeria, and the Lagos state government.

The CCE is an important platform for enhancing China-Africa trade collaborations. The event, to be held at the Landmark Centre in Victoria Island, will see over 200 Chinese manufacturers from Shandong, Zhejiang, Fujian, and more cities and provinces. It will be the largest group of Chinese manufacturers in Lagos, so far.

The exhibition will feature a wide range of products from various sectors, including agriculture equipment, Industrial machinery, building materials, power and renewable energy products, household products, electrical and electronics, beauty and fashion, medical equipment, and cutting-edge technologies, to attract ECOWAS (Economic Community of West African States) countries.

The wide range of products will offer a unique opportunity for all the attendees to explore Chinese commodities and make new business collaborations. To make sure that the entire experience is smooth, CCE has offered free entry to the exhibition.

Moreover, there is "complimentary Wi-Fi services and a well-equipped B2B meeting room are provided to facilitate efficient and productive discussions," the statement disclosed, Vanguard reported.

The event will also ensure the convenience of the attendees by arranging free shuttle buses at select locations to transport people to the venue. Furthermore, CCE will also help the importers--interested in visiting China to enhance business--with visa information and assistance.

"China Commodities Exhibition has been held annually since 2007 and is a good platform for China-Africa economic and trade cooperation and exchanges. Its reputation as a premier platform continues to grow with each successful edition," it added.

China and Nigeria have been cementing their bilateral relationship through various acts.

For instance, three Chinese ships, including MSL Destroyer NANNING, MSL Frigate SANYA, and Supply Ship WEISHANHU, were sent to Nigeria earlier this month.

It was also announced that China will be training 3,000 Nigerian youths for cultural tourism to boost Nigeria's economy to reduce unemployment and crime rate.

Furthermore, Chinese ambassador Cui Jianchun shared three documents that contained developmental strategies with Nigeria that will help any country improve its economy.

Considering the trade between the two countries, China and Nigeria recorded a trade volume of $26 billion in 2022.
